I thought so too. Those little fluffy green patches are venom filled spikes.

Don’t forget they click, snap, and and act aggressive when you find them..
Best gardening video ever on how to deal with them is a guy walking around with scissors cutting them in half..

The most interesting caterpillar I’ve seen is a cecropia moth caterpillar.
I didn’t believe it was a real thing when I saw it as a young teenager. I haven’t seen one since then; however, I was lucky enough to hold an adult in my hand just this year !
